Contemporary brush making rooted in nature — Shop Now
Maintaining a sustainable future.
Husk Brooms explores traditional broom making techniques to craft contemporary objects and functional tools. Our products are commonly used for household cleaning, gardening, and bench top maintenance.
Sustainability and crafting with intention are foundational practices within our business. All fibers are harvested by hand and treated as valuable, precious material. Husk Brooms embraces sustainability through mindful material sourcing and prioritizes minimal waste practices.
Collected driftwood from Lake Erie is commonly used as broom and brush handles.
Handcrafted in Pittsburgh, PA.
Husk Brooms partners with local farms to help grow the main crop used in broom making, broomcorn, a type of sorghum. An annual plant, broomcorn is planted after the last frost and harvested in the fall.
Our 2025 partner farms are Soil Sisters and Tiny Seed Farm!
